UV LAMP No. UV0001 (for MilliQ mfg from 1996 to mid 2002)

The purpose of this document is to provide instructions on how to replace the UV Lamp installed on MiIli-Q Water Purification Systems.
These instructions apply to a UV Lamp with NOION AQUA Catalogue
Number UV 0001 (Millipore item N.QUVQSL01)

The cabjnet of the system needs to be removed. If the system is wall mounted, unhook the system from its support
1. Put the System in STANDBY mode by pressing on OPERTE/STANDBY for 2 seconds.
2. Switch of power of the system by putting the main swifcht to
     position 0.
3  Unplug and disconnect the main electrical power cord of the System
4. Open fhe Poinf-Qf-Use 3 way valve to depressurize the System.
5. Milli-Q Synthesis oniy: Unscrew and remove the cleaning port                             plug (B).
6. Unscrew the two screws on the lower holding clips (C).
7. Slide the two clips backwards (D) to unlock the cabinet
8. Lift up the cabinet slightly disconnect the ground wire and remove the cabinet
9. Remove the UV lamp power supply cord (E)
10. Using a screw driver, unscrew and remove the UV lamp housing head (F)
11. Use protective Gloves to replace the UV lamp. Reuse the O-Ring
12. Follow the above instructions in reverse order to reassemble the unit
13. In PRE-OPERATE mode, open the Poinf-Of-Use valve for 5 mn to rinse the unit
The UV Lamp should therefore be disposed of by the owner

UV lamp lifetime reset:
In STANDBY or PRE-OPERATE mode Press:
"Measure + Cleaning + Menu" buttons together to enter the Service Mode
Press 4 times on MENU button (SERVICE: RESET UV LAMP)
Press MEASURE + CLEANING buttons together to confirm reset
The UV lamp timer is reset for 365 days
Press on MENU button for 2 seconds to return to start position
The replacement procedure is now completed. The Milli-Q is now ready for use.
